Square caps, sharp click
Series 1 caps are square-shelled with a flat top and a crisp travel. Put one next to a Series 3 cap and the difference is immediate in both hand and ear - the older shape has edges to grip and a harder bottom-out. They connect to each other and to Series 3 caps using the same four-sided clips, so the two waves mix freely on one chain.
Four original themes
The Series 1 pool runs past seventy characters across Cozy Garden, Strawberry Treats, Kawaii Dreams and Celestial Sky - gentler, more botanical themes than the Series 3 set. Two caps from that pool is a sample; the collector's guide in the box prints the full line-up so it is at least clear what the rest looks like.
